Throughout the Club's history a number of Trophies and Awards have been presented to Members for their services to the Club, from racing and competitions, to photography and volunteering. The Club is delighted to be sharing the histories of our trophies and their illustrious winners. These pages will grow in number as we add more and more trophies online.
The citation for some trophies and awards has changed over the years. For example, both the St John Horsfall Memorial Trophy and the Richard Stallebrass Memorial Trophy were awarded on the basis of points scored during the year; the former was for speed events longer than one mile in a pre-war 2-Litre and the latter was for attendances as an official or marshal at speed events (see AM, Vol 3, No. 1, 1952). On the other hand, the Members Trophy has always been awarded for the best (originally 'most meritorious') performance with an Aston Martin anywhere in the world, Works drivers naturally figuring prominently among the early winners.
The Club would like to extend its gratitude to 'The Cad' who has been writing about the trophies and Chris Wyatt, whose skills as a professional photographer are responsible for the photos on most of these pages.
Awards are also shown in your profile along with any loyalty pin, we are currently updating this as far back as we can if there is an award missing from your profile, please get in touch.
