Jeff has arranged a visit to the Vulcan XM655 Maintenance and Preservation Society at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome, Warwick CV35 9EU. We will be given a private tour of the facility and the aircraft. Additional dates have been arranged (PLEASE ASK ABOUT AVAILABILITY).

Our Annual Trip to and around the Fat Lamb
An introduction to lawn bowls – the day will include welcome refreshments, introduction to the game and etiquette, lunch, friendly competition and tea. All bowls and equipment will be provided by the club. The cost is £25 per person with a maximum number of 24 people.

Following our successful visits to Lady McAlpine’s Fawley Hill estate and museum for the past two years, she is again inviting up to 10 Astons to attend on one of her Invitation Days in 2026 to display in front of the museum.

Starting in Needham Market the planned and well-documented route heads for the lunch break at the amazing 95th Bomb Group Museum. The final destination of the day will be Snape Maltings, a collection of beautifully restored Victorian buildings that now house shops, galleries, cafés, and the famous concert hall.
This is a well organised event that a number of us have enjoyed in previous years.
This is open to any Aston( no age barrier for us - cars or drivers!) and part of the entry fee will go to charity. Breakfast snack, coffee/tea and entry to venues is included.

On Saturday we visit Blenheim Palace, one of England‘s largest houses and the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough. In the early evening we will experience a ghost tour before enjoying a Greek banquet. On Sunday we will swap wheels for keels for a boat tour on the Avon.

DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED DEMAND THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
HMS Courageous (S50) was a Churchill-class nuclear-powered attack submarine that served the Royal Navy for over 20 years, involved in Cold War operations, and is now a museum ship at Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth.
As an added bonus Area 20 member Nicholas Speller, who served aboard HMS Courageous‘ as a navigator during the Falklands Conflict, will be joining us on our exclusive group tour.
To attend members must be a British Citizen, hold a valid UK Passport and meet MOD Security entry requirements.
To meet the MOD‘s guidelines we have had to agree that this event will only be open to bookings from current members already personally known to the Area 20 Reps, regrettably therefore bookings will not be accepted from new members or those from other areas.
There are no fees for visitors, however, as the tours are run by volunteers the club suggest those attending make a reasonable donation towards supporting the preservation work they do. Donations can be made into the Area 20 Club account and 100% of funds received will be passed on.

On Sunday 24 May the Amberley Museum in West Sussex are holding a James Bond at Amberley event.
Area 16 (and all areas) are invited to display their Aston Martin at the James Bond @ Amberley event at the Amberley Museum, Near Arundel. The chalk pits were used in 1984 to film A View to a Kill. Chris Ralph is Co-ordinating. Email office@amberleymuseum.co.uk to request to display your car - they will send registration details to you for you to complete and return.

We are planning to join Stratton Motor Company once more at the Annual Pageant of Motoring at Sandringham.
Tickets are now available to book at £10.00 per car including one passenger.

As an alternative to driving there direct, there are two other options available. Stratton Motor Company (SMC) are having a drive out from their Long Stratton base to Sandringham, assembling from 8.30 with prompt departure at 9.00 am. Any member wishing to join this would be very welcome. Contact SMC direct .
Alternatively you can meet up at Swaffham, for a drive in convoy to the venue, assembling around 9.45 in the Waitrose car park, aiming to leave at 10.00, joined by the Stratton Motor group.
The combined Aston ‘convoy‘ will be admitted to the showground via a different entrance to the general public on the opposite side of the road to the public parking area and visitor centre.
