Area 20 Lyn Valley Classic, Area 20 | AMOC News

8 cars and 15 members met at the Hartnoll Hotel near Tiverton for morning coffee and cake before setting off for a scenic drive across Exmoor to visit the Lyn Valley Classic Car show in North Devon. The route took us up onto Dunkerly Hill where we stopped to see the fantastic views across North Devon towards South Wales. We then headed on to Porlock, this unfortunately was where the weather changed and a few stops were made to put the soft tops up.  The A39 Between Porlock and Lynmouth is a terrific driving road especially when you are following a DB5 and a DB6.  We arrived in Lynton where we had our reserved parking in the street outside our lunch venue,The Vanilla pod restaurant. As the streets of Lynton were now part of the car show we left our Astons parked all day on display. In the adjacent streets it was nice to see some other great British classics on display such as 12 Mclarens and some very old classic Bentleys. Despite a bit of rain we all had a good day out and a big thank you to Martin Lacey and Gary Graver for planning and organising the day.
