Aston Martin Owners Club event at Boconnoc House full of Cornish Charm

Around 60 of some the UK’s most coveted Aston Martin cars, from classic DB5s to modern GT racing cars and a Vulcan, were on display at Boconnoc House and Gardens on Sunday 17 September attracting over 300 visitors to the Aston Martin Owners Club Autumn Conocurs – the largest event the Club has ever staged in the West Country.

The iconic cars in the stunning collection were meticulously prepared and displayed on the beautiful lawns in front of Boconnoc House, as AMOC Members from all over the UK and overseas gathered to compete for highly-prized Concours trophies.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, the Club’s official charity partner for the event, landed its helicopter in the grounds of Boconnoc during the event for visitors of all ages to meet the medical crew and pilots, and find out more about the life-saving work of the organisation.

Jackie Southon, Head of Income Generation at the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, said: ‘’We are delighted that the Aston Martin Owners Club chose us to be the beneficiary of this spectacular event. It was a fantastic day helping to celebrate 30 years of saving lives throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.’’

The event was full of Cornish charm with local musicians and a wide variety of produce from West Country artisans, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The event also included a special display to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the classic Aston Martin DB Mk III organised by the Aston Martin Heritage Trust.

AMOC Secretary, Marc Aylott, commented: “I’d like to thank everyone involved for such a warm welcome to Cornwall and my appreciation to all the visitors who came to support the event, making it such a great success.”
