AMOC Area 22 News

Area Rep  | Published on 9/4/2017

An invitation from Sue Wood Area 22 (Gloucestershire) saw a total of 28 Astons from Areas 22 and 5, plus a few local ones participating in RAF Brize Norton’s Families day event.  With arrival at the base for 9.30am, once all the ID checks had been completed we were directed to the display area on the concrete apron sharing the space with Military aircraft, helicopters, a private jet, 2 formula 1 cars and other invited car clubs.  The weather was great with many members enjoying the warm sun and picnics were in abundance.  Early viewing on-board of the military air craft on display was essential, as once the families arrive long queues formed, and there was lots of public interest in the Aston car display.  In another separate area, there were lots of other activities, with a fun fair, charity stalls, a display of vintage military vehicles and in the ring, we were treated to a military police dogs display demonstrating obedience, handling and agility.
