Area 20 BBQ at Rosewyn

Colin and Andree kindly offered to host a BBQ at their home near Newquay and roped in all their family to make sure that the day was a success, which it undoubtedly was.  However, what could not have been planned for was the remnants of a Hurricane which swept across Cornwall.  If we had been there either the day before (or after) we would have enjoyed brilliant sunshine so pretty unlucky really.

Still, not to be put off 38 members were there on the day with 14 Astons braving the very grubby conditions with a lovely spread of cars.

When envisaging the day Colin had come up with Plan A which had people enjoying an off road route in his Land Rover Defender, using the superb scalextric track, playing croquet, petanque or just sitting down and chatting in the sun!  By the time we arrived plans had to be changed and we were at Plan D!  The worsening weather conditions were dealt with superbly and their son, James, put together a fantastic BBQ for us to enjoy - just superb!

A great time was had by all and our thanks to Colin, Andree and all the family for making it such a fun day despite what the weather could through at us.

Some pictures from the day.
