Well done and many thanks to Tony Attard for organising a great charity screening of No Time To Die at the Flower Bowl in Preston where guests arrived in their Astons and dressed in dinner jackets.

My photo at Bassenthwaite Railway Station with a James Bond in dinner jacket accompanying two Bond Girls in aid of the reopening of the Keswick Alambra classic theatre-style cinema for the launch of the new Bond Movie “No Time to Die” won the AMOC prize of a bottle of Taittinger champagne.
Dave and Eileen Tuke, who organised it, parked their DB6 outside the main door for the opening of the cinema and received a great reception from picture goers - all of which adds to the fund of owning an Aston Martin!

Many thanks to Nix Boxall of Stratstone Aston Martin in Wilmslow for organising two screenings of No Time To Die for their Aston customers just a short distance from their showroom.  Parked outside at the first was the recent concours-winning Vanquish S owned by Steven Behrens and at the second both a silver DB5 and a new DBS.  Nik announced in the theatre that they are planning to run other events for their customers with the first being planned in December.

At the November meeting we had 23 people with 8 Astons in the car park – the colder/ darker/ damper weather and higher CV19 infection rates no doubt reduced the number from our more typical 40 people.
I met Wayne and Wendy Slaymaker as well as Steve and Ping Marsh as I missed the October meeting whilst away in Malta.  Whilst no new people it was great to welcome back John Ashmore with his daughter Cat after a 2 year absence and also to see Gregg and Patricia Dabrowski.

Eight Astons parked at Plough & Flail for our November meeting

Our annual re-election of Area Rep and Assistant Rep took place at the meeting and as no-one else stood the positions of Area Rep and Assistant remain with myself and John Carter for another year.

AMOC name badges are again in routine use at our meetings.  If you have not got one please let me know and I will make one with your name(s) on it and bring to the next meeting.

Our Christmas Party is on 11th December and all the detailed planning including payment and menu choices have been given.  We have 58 intending to attend which is almost the same number that we had at our last pre-pandemic party in 2019.

Please join me in welcoming new members Nathan Proudfoot, Andrew Cloherty, David Johnson and Mark & Nicola Savage.
