Historic Aston Martin Monoposto wins 70th Anniversary St. John Horsfall Trophy.

Despite heavy rain an upbeat grid of 17 cars started the 70th anniversary St. John Horsfall race at Silverstone today. No less than 10 Pre-War Aston battled for 20 minutes to claim the top honour. But it was Stephen Skipworth in his 1939 single-seater originally built for Brooklands who came out on top winning the coveted St. John Horsfall Trophy on handicap.

Clive Morley in his Bentley 3 4 1/2 took overall race honours, with Richard Bradley in second aboard Team Car LM2. Stephen Skipworth completing the overall race podium.
