Area 22 Visit to BMW Mini Factory
When I first heard of the Mini Plant Tour, I was pretty dismissive. It’s the “brown sign” outside Oxford that you just drive past. It’s hardly a visit to Gaydon!
How wrong I was. It was two interesting hours led by a very amusing but very knowledgeable ex-employee with tales to tell. From pressed steel to the car driving off the line, you saw every process. Whether you like the Mini or not, this is a good experience.
The date for the event is Monday 19 February (not 21st as previously advised). The number is limited to 15, but we can always return another day if there is the demand. The plan is to meet at the Factory Visitor Centre at 1215 and we are booked on the 1230 tour which lasts approximately 90 minutes. After that we may look for a refreshment!
The cost will be £15 a head.
