A group of owners from Sweden are driving to the UK in their Feltham Astons in September, these include a DB2 Convertible, a DB2/4 and hopefully another DB2/4. They would like to meet other owners with Feltham-era Astons and I have suggested an informal gathering at Brooklands on Tuesday 12th September arriving around 10:30am.
Brooklands have agreed to allow us to park our Astons in the Outer Paddock close to the new scoreboard or on the Start/Finish Straight, depending on numbers. There is also an opportunity to photograph your car underneath Concorde (there’s an extra £10 charge for this and I would need to know in advance).
As most will know, Brooklands has an interesting collection of cars in their museum, including Aston Martin ‘Razor Blade’ and the Aston Martin ‘Halford Special’. Also of interest is the Lagonda M35 Le Mans Replica and of course the Napier-Railton. There are also the restored period buildings, the aircraft hangers and now the bus museum. Full details can be found on their website.
We will of course be free to explore the site and discuss our cars, whilst there is a café for tea, coffee and food. The cost will be £25/head - a slight premium on Brooklands usual entry fee as we will be parking on site rather than in the off-site public car parks.
If you would like to join us for this interesting gathering of Feltham Astons please let me know at feltham@amoc.org
