The annual Area 'Winter Warmer' breakfast was a wet, wild and windy affair, thanks to Storm Dennis deciding to join us.
Despite the dire warnings of road conditions, most of the people who planned to attend made it to a warm and welcoming Hartley's Bistro.
Above: The swinging sign alongside Martin & Liz Jaehme's DB9 doesn't quite illustrate how fierce was the wind.
Breakfast was served (hot!), chat was enjoyed and stories exchanged by 16 Members and 2 guests.
Above (L-R): Matthew Maneely, Mike & Beverley Jones, Jo Thorburn, Mark Pooley, James Thorburn (young son Oliver is hiding behind Dad), Liz Jaehme, Gillian Fawkes, Rick Cullen, Martin Jaehme, Aimee Haydock & Nick Koopman and Maria Dyer. Not is shot: Paul Phelan, Helen Ponting, Bob Carter and photographer, Andrew Fawkes.
The cafe dog, Bentley, was his usual welcoming self...

My niece Aimee and boyfriend Nick were visiting from the Netherlands. They had pre-booked tickets to visit Stone Henge later in the day, assuming the weather permitted!
Also along was a prospective member from Keynsham, Dean, who, having heard about our planned meeting, brought his DB9 Volante. Although not joining us for breakfast, he took away a business card and we hope to see him again.
Thank again to Paul Hartley and his team for looking after us all so well and to everyone who made it (and made it home again)!
Footnote: We made it to Stone Henge, but didn't hang around for long!...
