Area 4's visit to the relatively new Bristol Aerospace Museum proved popular with members from Areas 18, 20 and 22.
A lovely sunny Sunday morning saw the arrival on the empty car park of 17 Astons, ranging from David and Kim Stanley's stunning DB5 (Area 22) to Danny Wootton's V12 Vantage and yours truly's last-of-the line DB9 GT 'Bond Edition'.
31 Members then enjoyed a guided tour that was surprisingly wide-ranging, given that we were expecting to see not much more than Concorde! Trams, early flight, a Bristol car, WWI aircraft, the inter-war years, WWII aircraft, a Cold War missile, space exploration and, of course, super-sonic passenger transport.
There's no need here to dwell too long on the contents. The museum's website (here) can do a better job of that.
Better still is another visit. We're not the only ones from our group who are planning a return... probably mid-week, during school term time!
