A special event to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the acquisition of Aston Martin & Lagonda motor car companies by David Brown.
Bentley and Aston Martin cars from the last 70 years converged into Rundle Mall. The Lord Mayor - Mr. Martin Haese gave an informative address to the participants explaining how Adelaide was an integral place for this union.
We proceeded onto Prince Alfred College where the Headmaster Mr. Bradley Fenner gave additional insight into how the Bentley and Aston Martin cars are linked to this prestigious college.
From here some took a leisurely drive into the hills for morning tea, while others drove a scenic route, with everyone eventually ending up at Mount Lofty House for a superb lunch.
Terry Jones and Terry Holt gave an amazing historical account of events that resulted in this remarkable Bentley, Aston Martin and Lagonda union and the reason for this special 70th Anniversary celebration.
Thank you to both Terry's for all their efforts, all the fabulous cars that were so beautifully turned out, all those who assisted with the day and to everyone for their attendance.
A very special thank you to Solitaire Aston Martin for their generous sponsorship towards this event
