In January Matt and I participated in the Mayor of Bromley’s whisky tasting evening, complete with my sore head in the morning…
February marks the return of our monthly drinks at the RAC on the third Thursday of every month…
We also have plans to visit the Aston Clinton hill climb in February, cyclists permitting!
As we write we are in the middle of planning a few weekend daytrips throughout the Spring, more on that later…
The AMHT Walter Hayes lecture at the RAC with Dr Ulrich Bez was a great evening as always, attended by no less than 28 Area 00 representatives! Was a real honour to finally meet John Simcock in person, who deserves special mention as has fought incredibly hard for the interests and survival of the Club over the past year and beyond! Such a personal pleasure for me to see a Quantum Silver QOS Manual DBS coupe in the RAC rotunda!
In September, a number of us from Area 00 will participate in the Wheels of Thrill Snowdonia rally...
Our plans for Mayfair to Marrakech are developing nicely, with ferries and hotels booked… We are planning a send-off and coronation drinks reception in Mayfair on Thursday the 4th May just fyi, alternatively feel free to join us in Marrakech from the 12th to 15th May.
In between all this need to find time to get the Aston serviced ready for this years driving fun, as well as the NC 500 on a personal trip!
This year there is a definite feeling that life is returning to our normal busy lives, myself included.
However, we continue to maintain our Area 00 fun agenda when and where we can, whether it be driving, zooming, travelling, drinking, snooker and/or relaxing.
