Founders Day Lunch - The Radisson Blu Euston Square, London
25 May 2025
One of the oldest, most prestigious Owners Clubs in the world, the AMOC was formed in 1935.
Mortimer 'Mort' Morris-Goodall and ‘Bert’ Bertelli approached racing driver and motorsport journalist Sammy Davis, who was Sports Editor of Autocar magazine at the time. Sammy agreed that a dedicated club for Aston Martin owners would be a good idea, and inserted a note in Autocar on 3rd and 17 May 1935 calling a meeting.
The first meeting was held on 25 May 1935 at the Grafton Hotel, Tottenham Court Road, London. To their delight, around 20-30 people turned up: the Club was officially formed and its committee was elected.
We were delighted to invite Members to join us for a luncheon at the very venue in which the Club was founded, 90 years ago to the day on 25 May 1935. On Sunday 25 May 2025, we arranged a Members lunch at The Radisson Blu Euston Square Hotel (formerly The Grafton), Tottenham Court Road, London. The celebration lunch commenced with a welcome glass of champagne, followed by a three course meal with wine and coffee.
A big thank you to all who joined us!
