Area 15 Rep | Published on 6/1/2021

Our April meeting was held via Zoom once again, this time AML's Historian Steve Waddingham gave us a great talk about his role within AML and how he helps research older cars and the various sites where Astons have been built. As usual he gave us some unusual insights to the world of Aston Martin and the methods of research he uses which has become more difficult with the advent of GDPR.

With the Covid restrictions gradually easing, I'm planning for the June meeting to be our first proper monthly meeting and will be confirming the venue soon, please ensure you have selected Area 15 on your profile to receive my email updates and the Area calendar.

I'm pleased to announce the first official Area 15 drive out, will be to Compton Verney on July 4th, please note the new date as the previous one fell before the restrictions allowed us to go ahead with it.

This venue has a fabulous art gallery and park, please see https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/ for more details.

Aston Martins attending will be allowed to park on the main drive up to the house which is something that is not normally allowed, so is a privilege for us to be able to do so.

We are just finalising the costs and details of the day and I will send out a separate email very soon, so reserve the date for now.

This date clashed with the potential air show visit at Shuttleworth that was on the Calendar, I have now removed that event and am looking for an alternative date for a similar event, there is a potential for an event to coincide with the launch of the new Bond film, which I think you'll enjoy.
