Our October meeting was held at the Green Man, Great Offley, where 26 members and 11 Aston Martins attended a dark spooky halloween evening.
The Area 15 visit to Oselli was a great success with several members having their steeds tested on the rolling road, with Steve Bland being very pleased that Gill's Vanquish gave a reading of 470 bhp, so it seems to collected 10 extra horses compared to the factory specs, not bad for a 20 year old car. Andrew Jones' DB7 Vantage gave the smoothest sounding test according to onlookers comments. Big thanks to David and Paul Eales and their staff for being so welcoming and our members really enjoyed seeing your facility and what you can do for Aston Martin owners.
Area 15 stalwarts, Nigel Dowding and Mary Antcliff are currently on a rally with "Jezebel" their pre-war MK II on the island of La Palma, and Pre-War Rep Tom Wood is covering their adventure elsewhere in this edition of AM News.
December’s meeting is only a week after November’s, because of something called Christmas it is the first Thursday, not the last Thursday and it is our Christmas Jumper and Hat meeting at The Five Bells, Station Road, Stanbridge, LU7 9JF.
Remember there is no AM News in January so keep an eye on your emails for updates on our meeting venues for the New Year, which apart from December are the last Thursday of the month.
If you are not on the Area 15 email list, then login to the AMOC website and under your profile select Area 15 as your primary or associated area to receive them. If you don’t know how to do this please email or call me.
Here’s to a great 2022 and a have very happy Christmas and New Year from me and Andrew.
