Mallory Park Race Meeting Cancelled

BRSCC and AMOC Race meeting Mallory Park 28th August 2021 BRSCC and AMOC have together announced the cancellation of the race meeting planned for Bank Holiday Saturday 28th August.

At the start of 2021 the two clubs formed an exciting new alliance to work together to deliver a race programme for the AMOC. Unfortunately, the current level of entries received for this event were not sufficient for the meeting to be a viable and would expose both BRSCC and AMOC to potential losses. The management of Mallory Park were consulted and had other options available for the track time.

To avoid future potential financial exposure the BRSCC run AMOC Silverstone meeting on 9th October has also been cancelled. AMOC and BRSCC commented:

“We are extremely disappointed to have to walk away from the race meeting but unfortunately the BRSCC and AMOC are not in a the same position as many other member clubs and cannot run race meetings without the pre-determined subscriptions to ensure they are financially viable. The venue is also keen to attract spectators and a poorly performing race meeting deters many marshals and spectators alike.”

AMOC and BRSCC are already planning their next race meeting at Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch on October 30th and 31st and are committed to continue to work together in 2022. However, to avoid similar disappointment going forward, in preparing the 2022 race calendar there will be a thorough review of the requirements for AMOC to secure racing venues and for members to ensure well attended viable race meetings can be held .
