Area 22 September Calendar
Late Summer, going into early Autumn and the sun is still shining. Twenty-six of us hope it will continue to do so as we head to France on 9 September. We are spending time in the Somme exploring the Battlefields before heading south to visit the champagne houses of Pommery and Ayala. We may have a dash to Paris! If we have a good time, you will be bored with our photographs, if not …!
Before that on Thursday 5 September is the monthly meeting at the Royal Oak at Leighterton, hosted by Chris as I shall be in Yorkshire with my family.
The monthly meeting Thursday 3 October is back at the Frogmill Inn where we have a presentation by David Evans, a young entrepreneur I met last year, He is the founder of the Spitfire Collection Prestige Car Detailing Products | Spitfire Collection. I hope you will be as impressed by him as I was. Sunday 6 October brings the annual return to Five Zeros Supercar Barn for the AMOC Southwest Areas Show Off. If the weather is good, it is a great drive down to this venue in Wiltshire and a chance to meet our friends and colleagues from other Areas. Details are on the website where you can register to attend.
Looking ahead further ahead we have the visit to CLASS Class - Classic & Luxury Auto Specialist Services in Gloucester, England on Tuesday 12 November who provide what it says on the tin! We are hosted by Paul Mount, an Area 22 member whom many of you will know. Following that on Saturday 23 November we have the last event of the year, Cotswold Navigation Capers which will be a continuation of the “Rory Story”.
12 December brings us the last meeting, the Winter Gathering at the Frogmill Inn. Your new team is working on this, and details will follow shortly.
Other events of interest?
Tony Sheridan is hosting an Open Day at 444 Retreat (www.444retreat.co.uk) on Saturday 7 September. Set in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside, it is a great run out. Sunday 22 September we are invited to spend time with Prodrive in Banbury. They have been in business for 40 years and want to celebrate! As I write, Area 22 has 5 allocated places left. If you want to be part of the celebrations contact me as soon as possible, preferably before I leave for France on the 8th.
