Our longest podcast yet is 1 ½ hours long, but you don’t have to listen to it all at once. There are plenty of bite-sized morsels throughout.
The event at The British Motor Museum was a celebration of all things Vantage, marking 75 years of the name and 20 years of the V8 Vantage. Organised by the AMOC and supported by the AMHT, the event was packed with cars and podcast interviews.
The day began with a special guest, Dr Ulrich Bez, delivering the V8 Vantage press introduction speech from the Geneva Motor Show on February 8, 2025. This is covered in approximately the first 10 minutes of the podcast.
Afterward, Steve Waddingham and Garry Taylor explore the displays, engaging in conversations with owners and past and present AML employees, including Les Goble, Steve Bolton, Ray Brown, Michael Peach, and many others. A notable highlight is the display of the second-to-last Newport Pagnell V8 car, and finally identifying the Vantage name’s origin.
Finally, at the end of the podcast, Dr Bez granted an exclusive 30-minute interview with the AMHT. They discussed the DB7 Vantage GT, V8 Vantage, design, Ian Callum, Henrik Fisker, Vantage racing, and, briefly, the Cygnet.
