Area 22 Calendar October 2025

Area 22 Rep Andrew Mitchell | Published on 9/29/2025

Within the next few days, the hawk-eyes will note that Area 22 has disappeared from Aston Martin Monthly! Why .. simply because I wrote the text and forgot to send it to the Editor.

Having got that out of the way, what remains of the 2025 Calendar looks a bit short and sweet…

The meeting at the Frogmill on Thursday 2 October is the penultimate visit to the establishment this year. We agreed to trial the online ordering system in an attempt to streamline the work of the Asst Rep Meetings, and this seems to have worked. Encouraged by this we will seek to have such a system in place for the November meeting at The Bear but powered by Club Express (unless The Bear produces its own system for our use!).

The October event on Sunday 19 October is a simple “Popup Meet” at Dunkertons Park, Cheltenham starting at 1200. It will be busy, but no booking is required; just turn up and enjoy yourselves. If you have never been to Dunkertons Park, it is a great venue with good food at a reasonable price. Taproom Bar – Dunkertons Cider.  We have been talking for some time about having more meetings and events at weekends and this is an example. Comments welcome.

November brings the monthly meeting at The Bear of Rodborough. A good, solid winter venue .. a warm room and good food. During the month we are visiting Arkells Brewery in Swindon. Ray has set up registration on the website, so if you are planning to come along, please tick the right boxes.

Thursday 11 December will be the Winter Gathering at the Frogmill.  I have sent out an overview including the details of how to book a room should you wish to stay over. The same message is on the website should you have lost the e-mail! This was a great finale to the Area 22 year in 2024 and we are sure it will be just as enjoyable this year.

From Belgium via zoom, I attended the AMOC AGM on Saturday 20 September. I will report on my observations verbally at the October meeting.
Our own Area 22 AGM is just over the horizon at present but there is work to be done in advance. During November you will see the start of the process to secure a management team for 2026.

Full Information on all our meetings and events is available on the Area 22 website and in e-mails from Mike and Ray. The team hopes to see you at as many meetings and events as you can make.
