We met up with Area 22 and convoyed to Middlewick House, the home of Nick Mason. His home is open once a year to raise money for The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust and Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance. We arrived early to beat the queues and were the first to arrive. The weather was quite wet throughout the day apart from a brief dry spell. This did not spoil people’s enthusiasm with many visitors. A great selection of Nick and family’s cars were displayed throughout the grounds, this included three pre-war Aston`s. Also, many stalls to browse and a large marquee with live music.

Area 13 has organised a day at Salisbury races on the 13th August 2026. We have booked the 1584 Restaurant Package. 1584 Restaurant: Our restaurant offers guests a relaxed, sociable way to enjoy the day with a reserved table for the entire race meeting. Our 1584 Restaurant provides the choice of a traditional carvery (vegetarian option available as main course) or a cold chef’s buffet table, making it ideal for groups or those looking for a more leisurely raceday experience. Packages include admission and a racecard. While there is no direct view of the course from the restaurants, it has a TV where can watch the racing and you are only steps away from the Bibury Lawn, where you can stand and watch the racing by the winning post.
Cost for the day has been vastly discounted to £70 per person. We can only admit a member and partner or one guest.
Please reply to John Lynch area13@amoc.org for more info if you would like to attend.

We have been invited back by the Triumph TR Register, Wessex Group, to attend their annual meet in the grounds of IBM Hursley. Hursley Park Rd, Hursley, Winchester SO21 2JN, from 7pm on the 29th July. This is just a relaxing evening meet where you will see a vast selection of cars from different clubs. The club house will be open for refreshments during the evening. No need to let us know just turn up on the evening.

Area 13/21 joint tour 31st May - 8th June : We had an amazing trip up to York for 3 nights, 18 Members/9 cars, enjoying the sights of York and surrounding area with most Members then continuing the trip up to Northumbria for a further 4 nights. Ending up in Alnwick for the concours weekend at Alnwick Castle, John and Linda Shaw (who had driven from their home in Northumbria to join us for the whole tour) managed to come 2nd in their class in the concours, despite all the driving and some wet weather throughout the week - well done John and Linda!

David Applyby Engineering have invited Members to join them for an afternoon BBQ and charity raffle on the 18 July, see website and email for full details.
