Aston Martins turn heads at Salon Privé, Blenheim Palace

Around 100 Aston Martins were parked on a prime spot just outside the Great Court of Sir Winston Churchill's birth place, glorious sunshine beautifully highlighting the paintwork on a wide range of models covering at least 70 decades of the marque.
It was a difficult task to select five of these beauties to go through to the next stage of Lockton's Car Club Concours, but the following cars were selected, for a range of reasons:
-a lovingly restored 1954 DB2/4 Mk1, with some very special features
-a 1979 V8 Volante
-a 2018 Gen 2 Vanquish S Coupé
-a 2019 Vantage CEO edition by Q
-a 2025 DB12
The owners were presented with a festive bottle of champagne.
After much deliberation and helped by passers by, the golden brown V8 Volante was selected to go through to the final, held on the palace's south lawn. It was a close call, but the fact that this car was driven by Sir Stirling Moss and has a signature on the petrol cap to prove it, was the deciding factor.
It was great to see the car on the main stage.
