New Years Day Parade 2020

A Happy New Year to all! I'm told we have now officially entered what promises to be the 'roaring twenties', and I certainly hope that proves to be true!
Since my last update it seems like so much has happened, we attended the Aston Martin art exhibition reception hosted by Marek Reichman at the Dover St boutique, the DBX launch at St Athan where we had the pleasure of meeting Darren Turner, the AMOC HQ workshop day at the barn and our Christmas dinner evening kindly hosted by Aston Martin Stratstone Mayfair.
Our Christmas dinner marked the restoration completion of Jose’s DB2 washboard drophead which looked resplendent and extremely festive in the Park Lane showroom alongside the DBS Volante, with the added support of Bluthner Piano's and Tom Donald of the London Contemporary School of Piano, which facilitated a climactic and rousing rendition of assorted carols with the Hyde Park winter wonderland passers-by!!
Earlier this week we welcomed 2020 by participating once again in the amazing London New Years Day (LNYDP) parade with a convoy of 14 Aston Martins led by a 'fresh from the showroom' DBS Superleggera Volante, and earlier this week collected a commemorative plaque from the organisers at the participants reception held at the Gladstone library in central London.
For the new year and new decade, we have an exciting new venue for our Area00 monthly drinks evenings held as usual on the 3rd Thursday of every month which will now be the Dukes hotel in St James, a hotel and bar famed for its historic connections to a certain Mr Ian Fleming and related vodka martini cocktails! I am very much looking forward to our first evening there later this month, followed by hosting our table at the AMHT Walter Hayes lecture at the RAC on the 28th of this month where we look forward to hearing from guest speaker Christian Horner!….
