Poland 2019 Season Opening

Area Rep | Published on 5/22/2019

Our first meeting after the creation of the AMOC Poland Area in march this year, which took place on 18-19 May, went very well and in the opinion of all Members and guests was a success.

The beginning of the event, however, was a bit problematic. Some of the participants gathered together at Aston Martin Warszawa showroom and set out in a group of eight cars from Warsaw in the middle of heavy storm and downpour. After leaving the town according to the plan, it turned out that the group was lucky and after about one hour of driving west they entered the area of better weather. The meeting point with the remaining participants was Ciechocinek, a well-known Polish health resort with a beautiful park and graduation towers. A moment of rest at Villa Park MED & Spa hotel allowed participants to meet, have some coffee and eat lunch. After that, in a larger group, we went to the destination which was Głęboczek Vine Resort & Spa - a beautifully situated hotel near the picturesque Masurian lake. Along the way, 15 Aston Martin cars passed slowly through the city center of Brodnica, arousing great interest of residents and tourists. After arrival at the journey’s end and a glass of refreshing white wine, the participants had the opportunity to play golf and take a ride in a Land Rover old-timer. Aston Martin Warsaw has made V8 Vantage and DBS available and we were able to test them coursing through scenic roads among Masurian forests and fields. Late afternoon everyone gathered in the conference room for a meeting where I had the opportunity to present the Club and invite Aston Martin car owners and their families to join. Michał Maske from Aston Martin Wasrzawa presented latest news from AML and polish dealer's plans for the following months.

The culmination of the meeting was a joint dinner combined with a wine tasting from the Płochocki vineyard. Participants, all in great moods, talked for a long time exchanging experiences about Aston Martin cars and sharing their passions. The next day we had the opportunity to take a walk around the area and admire the beauty of the Forbin lake during a short cruise on a raft.

Everyone, who took part in that wonderful event, expressed their satisfaction and willingness to meet again.
