The 400+ guests, many from AMOC, enjoyed the warmest of welcomes; the plushest of surroundings; the ‘stunningest’ of cars (including A3 c/o AMHT and a Vulcan) and the tastiest of champagne and canapés.
The main sales area became a stage for Aaron Allnutt (dealer principal), Andy Palmer (President & CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda) and Peter Lovett (Chairman of Dick Lovett Group) to say a few words of welcome, a few amusing anecdotes and say something about the future for the Aston Martin brand. Afterwards, Andy presented Peter with a very special wheel spinner to mark the occasion. It is now on display in the showroom.

Downstairs, the huge, clean and tidy service area, doubled as the classic Astons show and nightclub with live music from the Anthony Strong Quintet. On display was a range of cars from DB4 to the latest V12 Vantage and a race car. Included in the display, which featured a dynamic light show, were the DB5 Convertible of Paul & Jan Gerring, plus the DB6 and DB7 Vantage Volante of yours truly, Area Rep.

There was plenty of time after the speeches to make and renew friendships. I am hopeful of at least one new AMOC member as a result of the event.
More importantly, the new dealership is off to a flying start and will welcome AMOC again at a launch event dedicated to the club on 24th September. We very much look forward to that!
