Here we are at the start of meteorological Spring already and the snowdrops are in full bloom.
You will see here the Area 22 calendar for the remainder of the year as it stands at the moment but I would again reiterate that it can change daily due to circumstances beyond our control.
The March meeting is now at The Royal Oak, Leighterton. The planned venue became “unavailable” at short notice.
The March event, “Ghosts and Phantoms” is fully booked and I will be sending out details to those attending in the next few days.
The April meeting will be held on Wednesday 5 April, not a Thursday as usual. Again our options were limited and it will be held at The Frogmill, near Andoversford (GL54 4HT).
The April event on Sunday 23 April is “Drive-It Day”. This is the annual Charity event in support of NSPCC “Childline. I have a 162 mile route through Wales with two convenient starting points, lunch break at Hay on Wye finishing in Malvern. The sun will be shining! If you are coming along for some great driving please let me know so that I can finalise the catering arrangements.
The meeting on 4 May, as well as our regular meeting, will be the Area 22 AGM. The AMOC Constitution gives you the opportunity, once a year, to replace your Area Reps. and this will be your chance!
The May event on Friday 12 May is to Swinhay House. This is fully booked and I will be sending details out to those going in the next few weeks. Also in May we have the visit to Bowood House. This event, together with other AMOC Areas, is in support of Wiltshire Sight who help blind and partially sighted people across Wiltshire. More details to follow.
So .. get those cars on the road; Chris and I look forward to seeing you at the forthcoming events.
