Our track day at Castle Combe 30 May, went very well, weather started a bit cold and windy but by lunch time it was warm and sunny. It was great to see the Astons on track especially a DB5 and two V8's, seeing the speed they were driving around at you would not think they were the age they are.
I lead a parade lap during the lunch break, with about 30 Astons following behind. We raised £700 during the day, from a raffle and donations to support Springboard, a special needs school for pre-school children. Special thanks to Aston Martin Bristol who brought along a selection of cars for test drives during the day on the local public roads and AMOC Shop, David Appleby Engineering, Emerald Detailing, Aston Installations, Emerald Detailing, Spencer Elton, Five Zero Super Car Barn and Phoenix Bespoke Keys who also supported the even, many thanks all for prizes kindly donated for the raffle. We will be organising a track day at Castle Combe next year, look out for more details to follow later this year.
We thank the Members who booked for the track day and the Members who came along for the day to picnic and watch the cars. There were approximately 90 Aston Martin cars there for the event.
